Ruth’s Refuge specifically serves refugees and asylum seekers in New York City who are in need of essentials as they settle in new homes. By providing home furnishings, appliances, furniture and more, Ruth’s Refuge seeks to provide a warm welcome to newcomers.
“ur goal at Ruth’s Refuge is to welcome these families by providing them with apartment furnishings and other home essentials in partnership with local resettlement agencies. Our volunteers donate furniture, buy new appliances and linens, load moving trucks, assemble furniture and bring love and welcome into the homes of newcomers.”
