Brooklyn Perinatal Network
Brooklyn Perinatal Network was established in 1988 from a community task force to address high infant mortality. By enabling at-risk residents to access vital information, coordinate care, supportive health and social supportive services and assisting families to secure public health benefits and resources needed to maintain health, BPN has seen a significant reduction in infant death and improved maternal and child health status. Partnering with The Moore Family Charitable Foundation and the Brooklyn Diaper Project makes perfect sense for BPN. BPN serves a large number of mothers seeking asylum and shelter who have one or more child in diapers. Diapers provided by the project will be given out on a as need basis to families living in Brooklyn and in the shelter.
